I had a lot of trouble with BlueSky. Most of the time I would try and open the application, it would just stall indefinitely at the "loading, please wait..." screen. My school's tech department was useless and I contacted BlueSky support. They immediately gave me a Zoho link and put me in contact with Anil. Now that's a clever man. We tried everything for about 30 minutes, but nothing worked. Every time Anil came up with a possible solution I thought "That's it. Surely it's solved now. I mean, what else could it possibly be?", but alas, it was not. It was not, until it was. Until Anil asked me the fateful question: "Do you use McAffee?"
This was a game changer. First we tried the firewall, but that didn't do it. The culprit was, in fact, the real-time scan! That mischevious scamp was hindering my statistics capabilities and plotting my downfall. Thankfully, Anil was the hero of the hour. After excluding BlueSky from the real-time scan, the program worked like a charm. Thank you for reading.
If Bitdefender ani-virus on your Windows machine is blocking BlueSky Statistics from installing or launching, Go to Bitdefender --> Protection --> Advanced Threat Defense --> Open (opened) --> Settings Tab --> Manage Exceptions ( clicked on blue Manage exceptions) --> clicked on +Add an Exception --> Exception Options --> clicked on the search icon to navigate to the BlueSky Statistics folder. selected Statistics-v10.3.4.exe and clicked Save
With Bitdefender, I added the BlueSky Statistics-v10.3.4.exe in the Downloads file as an exeception and I was able to install it.
If the application launch is blocked by Norton anti virus, you just need to click "Allow Always".
Thanks. This solves my issue too.
